Figs 1 and 2 illustrate the characteristic surfaces for velocity and efficiency. Note the difference in the orientation of the axes between figs 1 and 2. Fig 3 shows the coil current during the entire discharge. Note that the slight reduction in peak current as delta is incremented is due to the increasing inductance associated with the projectile position.
