Figs 1 and 2 illustrate the characteristic surfaces for velocity and efficiency. Note the difference in the orientation of the axes between figs 1 and 2. Fig 3 shows the coil current during the entire discharge. Again we can see that the change of projectile position has a slight affect on the peak current.
