Open Loop Pulse Triggering Experimental Series 1 - Tests were performed on coils A, B, C and D using a 15 cell SLA DC battery source with a nominal voltage of 30V (actual open circuit voltage is about 33V). The optimum pulse width was determined over a range of tests. A coil current trace was recorded for each test. The circuit configuration is shown in fig 1. Note that the battery source, Vs, is floating with respect to the scope ground, otherwise Vs would be shorted to across the sensor resistance.
